  • ISCED LEVEL 2. THE CONTENTS OF EDUCATION AT THIS STAGE ARE TYPICALLY DESIGNED TO COMPLETE THE PROVISION OF BASIC EDUCATION WHICH BEGAN AT ISCED LEVEL 1 (PRIMARY EDUCATION). ENTRY AGE IS AFTER SOME 6 YEARS OF PRIMARY EDUCATION AND ENDS AFTER SOME 9 YEARS OF SCHOOLING SINCE THE BEGINNING OF PRIMARY EDUCATION. THE END OF THIS LEVEL OFTEN COINCIDES WITH THE END OF COMPULSORY EDUCATION.
